Automotive Video Design Engineer to work in Buckinghamshire - Salary between £35,000 and £45,000.

Currently seeking a talented hardware design engineer to join its new Automotive System Engineering team who are responsible for the development of key technologies to accelerate the development cycle of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS); an exciting and expanding area for the automotive market with many emerging applications for FPGAs.

Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

* Development of innovative image processing solutions to enable rapid development of complex FPGA based System-On-Chip ADAS designs
* Application of hardware and/or software design skills to implement optimized, scalable and modular video processing functions
* Definition and demonstration of software/hardware partitioning methodologies for next generation ADAS applications
* Design and implementation of analytics engines to facilitate the development of complex autonomous navigation systems
* Application of new tool flows such as OpenCL to the driver assist market
* Development of targeted reference designs, as a starting point for rapid design and demonstration of tool and silicon capability

This role is also significantly involved in generating tool, IP and silicon requirements to drive development in other groups within the organization.

To be considered for this role you should have the following:

* An exceptional academic background, with a minimum upper second class degree (2.1) in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical subject, from a leading university
* Strong hands on development skills in Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL.
* Experience of designing and implementing video processing functions in FPGA
