Automotive Systems Engineer (Speech Control) 27526

Position Description:

This role will be part of the team responsible for the Speech Control feature on future NGI Speech programmes.

Working with these customer facing systems you will be responsible for:

- Validation of design for the speech functionality of the Next Generation Infotainment systems including testing systems in several languages (prior knowledge of these languages is not required).
- Validating the customer interface and interface to the other features.
- Creation and delivery of detailed Design Verification Plans.
- Coordinating the resolution of AIMs/e-Trackers/Issues to achieve targeted glidepath to closure.
- Championing analysis and resolution of electrical PD issues impacting Business performance.
- Using problem solving tools as appropriate eg supporting G8d, 6 Panel events.
- The role will also share responsibility for all existing/Legacy Jaguar Speech Control systems including supporting the Customer Response Centre and Dealer Technical Support when required.

Skills Required:

- Knowledge of vehicle based infotainment systems - essential.
- Experience of human interface (HMI) design - desirable.
- Experience of in vehicle speech control systems - desirable.
- Knowledge of FPDS/GPDS - desirable.
- Knowledge of PD toolsets (AIMS/WERS/E-tracker) - desirable.
- Capability of working in a pro-active and pressured environment - essential.
- Knowledge and application of quality and problem solving tools - essential.
- Ability to interact and communicate at all levels within the business, suppliers and customers- essential.

*A full UK driving license, sound diction and good hearing are essential for this role, due to the nature of the work.*

Experience Required:

- Proven project delivery performance - desirable.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team - essential.
- Previous project management experience - essential

Education Required:

- Ideally educated to degree standard in a relevant subject
