Automation Tester

ROLE FUNCTION
The Automation Tester Role (AT) for the project develops test protocols, test cases and executes testing of the Automation Application Software. This testing is done in a validated test bed environment prior to being implemented in the field for further functional testing. The Tester works closely with the Automation Design and Software Development Resources on the team to ensure the design and code is properly implemented and functions as intended. The resource may also be involved in code review activities that assure conformity to local programming standards.
The AT will work closely with Computer System Validation engineers to assure all documentation follows GDP (Good documentation practice). Upon conclusion of testing he/she will also support the activities related to the documentation management of those tests.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop automation test protocols and test cases as per Lilly procedures
- Execute automation test cases in the offline validated test bed environment
- Interface with Automation Designers and Software Programmers to resolve any test discrepancies
- Depending on Foxboro experience level, develop and execute source code reviews
- Abide by all safety requirements and procedures pertaining to their role
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years experience in automation control system automation design and testing
- 2 years working in Pharmaceutical engineering, operations, or manufacturing
- 1 year experience in automation system testing in a Pharmaceutical, validated environment
- Foxboro experience not required
- BS Engineering or Computer science (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in MSOffice suite.
- Demonstrated team work abilities
- Knowledge of GMP'S, regulatory requirements, GDP and computer system validation
