Automation Test Manager (Contract) - Wexford

Projektbeschreibung
Automation Test Manager needed for min. 1 year contract in Wexford to manage implementation of new automation test framework with a leading institution.
5+ years test managmenet/testing experience, Agile/Scrum, test management and automation tools, all aspects of enterprise software testing.
Initial part time requirement (2 days per week), extending to Full time as project ramps up.
EXPERIENCE
- The candidate must have at least five years' experience in software testing and project management, and must show demonstrable experience of test automation management and frameworks - particularly for the Agile SCRUM development Team
- A professional certification with a recognised institute is desirable along with formal qualifications in Software Testing and Project Management
- Experience working with a regulatory, state body or environmental sector is an advantage
- Experience with the following technologies a distinct advantage
- Dynamics XRM
- Microsoft Test Manager
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Experience in implementing Dashboard and KPI metrics for reporting test coverage, test status, defects etc.
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of
- Software testing methodologies and frameworks particularly for the Agile SCRUM development Team.
- Current software testing technologies. Experience in testing CRM solutions would be advantageous.
- Project Management and Software Development methodologies, strategies and technologies.
- Test management and test automation tools.
- All aspects of enterprise software testing from unit testing, through system, integration and end to end to non-functional and acceptance testing
DUTIES
- Manage the delivery of a testing framework
- Manage the development and implementation of a testing framework.
- Provide a guiding role in relation to its enterprise wide software testing approach
- Assist with the development of a future plan to implement the new framework for governance of the testing function
- Deploying and managing the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
- Assist with the evaluation of test management and automation tools
- Ensure tools used increase testing productivity as well as increasing reporting capabilities.
- Implementing and evolving appropriate measurements and metrics.
- Oversee and prepare test standards where relevant
- Identify and build on current good testing practices and assist with the rollout to all development teams
- Managing and growing Testing assets required for meeting the testing mandate:
- Team Members
- Testing Tools
- Testing Process
- Advise on the setup of test environments
- Advise on Test Data Management
- Assist with the implementation of automated testing on particular projects
- Work with internal staff and contractors
- Knowledge transfer to resources
- Ensure that any risks associated with the agreed test framework are clearly documented
- Ensure all applications have appropriate and up to date environments in place.
- Implement automation best practices (Regression Testing, Risk based approach)
- Liaise with business and IT stakeholders, Release Manager, project managers and end users and all levels when Planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given engagement/release.
- Identify key gaps for the implementation of Test strategy and develop a road map to define how these gaps are resolved.
- Advise project lead/sponsor on task progress.
- Organise work priorities and manage time effectively.
- To be applied against the Product under test.
- To be applied against the Testing Team.
Quality Assurance
- Maintenance of a detailed project schedule,
- Identification or assistance with identification of project deliverables and timing,
- An Acceptance Plan including all milestones, deliverables, review, activities and dependencies for the timely and efficient completion of the Project,
- The project's critical path,
- A risk assessment and risk mitigation procedures,
Report Writing
- Project Status Reports
- Reports describing the analysis of any problem(s) experienced and corresponding corrective actions, taken or proposed,
- Justification of any delays occurred,
- Final Reports including
- Details of the results achieved,
- Details of the methodology adopted,
- Quality assurance methods applied,
- Deviations from the original project plan with detailed justifications,
- Description of problems encountered and solutions adopted,
- Deliverables submitted.
