Automation Engineering Contractor

Provides technical support (startup/commissioning, qualification, testing, maintenance, installation, etc.) for automation systems, process equipment and process related systems within a manufacturing facility.

- Cell culture, harvest, or purification process equipment automation design
- Develops user requirement specification, functional requirement specification and configuration specification
- Commissions plans, validation and qualification documents
- Troubleshooting
- Executes the qualification activities, assists maintenance, attends necessary meetings and maintains specific training requirements.
- Possible tasks include audit support, equipment maintenance history review and investigation.

SKILLS:

Candidate should have a BS/MS in chemical engineering or relevant discipline.

- At least 5 years experience with automation of pharmaceutical process systems.
- 4-7 years manufacturing experience required.
- Must have a working knowledge of cGMP type systems and practices.
- Computer skills, ability to work across functional areas such as operations, maintenance, and validation are required to provide appropriate support.
- Candidates should have Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI experience.
- Candidates should have experience with GE iFix and iHistorian.
- Candidates should also be familiar with relational database such as SQL or Oracle.
- Must be familiar with automation network (Ethernet, DH+, ControlNet, etc.)
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, are needed.
- Availability to work off-shift as needed.
- Pharmaceutical experience desired.
