Automation Engineer - Chef Platform Job

AUTOMATION ENGINEER - needed for a Contract opportunity with Yoh's Client located in St Louis, Missouri

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five (5+) years of experience in operations and Linux or Windows systems engineering
- Deep understanding of modern web technologies and data storage systems.
- Strong skills in at least one systems programming/Scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, Go, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with Chef or Puppet

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- We're looking for a resource to help augment and build tools for our service delivery organization.
- The candidate filling this position will work closely with our engineering and implementation teams to help design, implement, and scale our service delivery capabilities on the CHEF platform.
- Developing automation of all manual tasks
- Proving your ideas with metrics and testing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot issues in complex infrastructures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and explore new technologies.

- Master of the CHEF automation platform.
- You have experience building out large scale, automated service delivery solutions.
- You have contributed to open source projects
