AUTOMATION DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NISKAYUNA, NY.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The resource will demonstrate depth not only in software development, but also in distributed systems architecture and infrastructure. The focus will be automating the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud-based and physical infrastructure alike.
- The focus for this role will be on Front End development. As such, the resource will need to demonstrate knowledge of Front End technologies as well as UX and design concepts.
- Work on a variety of tasks and develop your skills in many areas
- Contribute to the growth of IT automation
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams across many industries
- Gain competency in a breadth of technical skills
- Maintain high standards of software quality
- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and enterprise architects
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans
- Participate in peer-reviews at the design and code level
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
- Design UI elements to support several different application components

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of 5 years software development experience
- Experience and effectiveness in working across geographic and business boundaries
- Proficient with modern Server Side programming languages (eg Ruby, Go, Node.js, Java, etc.)
- Proficient with modern client-side programming languages (eg React, Angular.js, Ember, etc.)
- Proficient with modern CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, Kube)
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools (eg Jenkins, Travis-CI, Concourse, etc.)
- Experience with automated testing tools (eg Selenium, JMeter, etc.)
- Experience with agile development methodologies (eg Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- Understanding of micro-service and event driven architectures

- Strong analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
- Eagerness and ability to adapt to new technologies
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Certification in one or more cloud platforms (eg AWS, Azure, GCE, etc.)
- Certification in one or more agile methodologies (eg Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- Experience with one or more configuration management platforms (eg Puppet, Chef, etc.)
