Automation Controls Engineer

Our client in the Energy industry (oil & gas) is looking for an Automation Controls Engineer for a 6 month contract with highly likely extensions.

Required:

- Configure controls computer hardware and software to support engineering automation-related projects
- Human machine interface upgrade projects
- Field operations controls software repairs and upgrades and patches
- Inventory management for the test equipment in the controls lab, field operations support for controls network problems
- Assistance with human machine interface problems related to database issues
- Support for controls network security tasks
- Assist with the inventory of software and hardware at each station, maintain controls software license information
- Support replacement of fire and gas and M-Health computers
- Test compatibility of new releases of software with existing hardware and support the controls migration as needed
