Automated Quality Assurance Tester Job

AUTOMATED QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in CHARLOTTE, NC.

- Four (4+) years of QTP experience
- Automated script creation

What You'll Be Doing:
- Creates automated tests that validate data conversion results for a large EAM system conversion.
- Translates conversion specifications into automated tests that confirm data conversion results meet functional business requirements.
- Key activities include analysis of data conversion functional business requirements and transformation into test scripts that verify the converted data meets requirements.
- Proficient in the development of automated test scripts; provides expertise to anticipate, identify and resolve information technology problems; create test data and test plans; execute tests (unit, system, integration); debug and resolve issues.
- Creates automated scripts to thoroughly test the data conversion results: source and target row counts match; no orphaned records created due to relationship issues; conversion, translation and business rules appropriately applied; and any inconsistencies in results are expected, explainable, or remediated.
- Execute scripts following each conversion run, identify and record discrepancies, publish results, assign and track issues to resolution.
- Manages change control of conversion scripts not tested, being tested, tested with defects and tested successfully.
- Manages change control of automated test scripts, and ensure test scripts reflect current translation and business rules.
- Carries out individual assignments of a moderately complex nature, executing appropriate processes.
- Resolves moderately complex problems and performs problem isolation. Carries out individual work assignments in delivery of applications.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Demonstrated strong experience developing automated test scripts on a large data conversion effort
- Strong relational database experience
- Strong experience developing SQL, SQL queries and Quick Test Pro scripts
- Three (3) or more years of experience showing a demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business requirements.
- Ability to quickly and effectively absorb and apply knowledge of rapidly changing IT environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to follow established project standards and change management processes.
