ATP Technician Contractor for Telecom Industry

K&M Systems is in need of an ATP Technician Contractor to assist in the integration and commissioning of a Distributed Antenna Network (oDAS).

Essential Job Functions:

Check uplink & downlink signal strength
Perform shakedowns of the node
Able to use volt meter to take optical power & RF measurements
Familiar with signal generators, spectrum analyzer & receivers
Works outdoors independently in a variety of weather conditions
Have the ability to climb a ladder and operate a bucket truck
Strong knowledge of installing telecommunications equipment and troubleshooting hardware, software and peripherals preferred.
Excellent communication skills are needed.
Must be a team player and work well in a small group.
Must be dependable, courteous and friendly, and get along well with others.

Education/Certification:

Associate in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

This position requires an OSHA 1910.268 certificate. This training is especially for telecommunications, and meets the United States requirements set by Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). Candidates with OSHA 1910.268 Certified preferred, but will provide training for the right candidate.

Experience/Minimum Requirements:

1 to 5 year of experience in telecommunication
Must clear a background & drug test
OSHA 1910.268 Certified preferred, but will provide training for the right candidate
Should be able to work at 20 feet off the ground safety
Able to use bucket van lift in a safe manner
Bucket Truck Experience Required. Will go up 20 ft up in the boom
Fiber Experience Required
Repairing equipment & fiber on telephone poles.
Clean driver record.
Experience in electronic, CATV or telecommunications preferred.
Must be dependable, courteous and friendly, and get along well with others.
