ASSURANCE MANAGER - VP LEVEL - PRIVATE BANKING - IMMEDIATE HIRE
My client, a global private banking organisation is looking for a VP level Assurance Manager to oversee their core processes and to ensure that their business divisions are in line with specific industry laws and regulations across the APAC region.
You will be working with regional teams across the APAC region (Hong Kong and India).
In addition additional job responsibilities will include:
- Working with senior level stakeholders in the business and across risk functions to identify and manage real and potential impacts that regulatory and compliance related issues have on new or on-going business operations.
- Building and maintaining partnerships within the business across the APAC region.
- Provide business and risk function leaders with high level input for regulatory policy and strategy development.
- To engage in investigations and assurance work that may be instigated internally or externally by regulators/other agencies.
- Create and maintain an effective and efficient governance structure.
- Where appropriate act as a point of contact for the internal audit function
- Ensure that significant regulatory risks are adequately identified on a timely basis and effectively escalated to senior management.
- Act as an interface for the bank as required with regulators, industry associations, policy makers etc.
- Assist the line manager in the hiring of new employees.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Assurance/Conduct & Regulatory Affairs
- Compliance advisory support in a banking/financial services environment
- Strong knowledge on the regulatory space environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
DESIRABLES:
- Private Banking experience
- Wealth Management experience
