ASSOCIATES OF THE INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINABILITY

The Institute for Sustainability has been successful in securing funding for a number of new and high profile research and demonstration projects. With project activity expected to triple in 2013/14, the Institute is looking to recruit a panel of 4-5 Associates who will provide a pool of expertise, knowledge and skills to assist with delivery of these projects over the next 24 months.

ASSOCIATES ARE EXPECTED TO STRONGLY IDENTIFY WITH THE INSTITUTE\'S MISSION AND TO BE:

• Recognised experts and innovators in specified areas
• Able to commit to both short contracts at short notice and to work on longer term contracts where required
• Able to work on multiple projects and in multi-disciplinary teams
• Willing to offer a competitive daily rate
• Able to identify and develop opportunities for additional funding and projects

ASSOCIATES WILL:

• Be offered both a guaranteed minimum level of work and an expected level of work from the Institute over the next 24 months
• Have the opportunity to work on a range of innovative projects with leading academics, businesses and public bodies
• Have a recognised association with the Institute

WE ARE LOOKING TO APPOINT ASSOCIATES WHO CAN ADD VALUE TO THE INSTITUTE\'S EXISTING PROJECT PORTFOLIO IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

• Smart/Future city demonstrator projects and other IT enabled sustainability demonstrators
• Closed loop and circular economy demonstrators, with particular focus on innovative approaches to collection and reuse at neighbourhood scale and for local WEEE enterprise
• Establishing international networks of organisations involved in large scale and systemic sustainability projects
• Innovative business and financing models involving public and private partners to deliver large scale and/or systemic solutions

The Institute is based at CAN Mezzanine 49-51 East Road, London, N1 6AH
