Associated Equipment Lead Engineer - Berkshire - Competitive Salary

Lead Engineer role for Associated Equipment to ensure that all facilities have suitable and appropriate equipment to support new specialist x-ray machinery.

Key accountabilities:
To act as an engineering lead on the delivery of the Associated Equipment Work Packages including design, interfaces to support design, supply and delivery and installation of complex machinery in a range of facilities.
Provide a competent engineering and control interface between project and the engineering sub-contract Design House for certain work packages.

Responsibilities:
Represents the project in maintaining key engineering interfaces with other functions for particular engineering work packages.
Responsible for guiding particular work packages through the development process.
Responsible for ensuring all necessary interfaces are fully identified and actively maintained.
Acting as the co-ordination point of contact for Interfaces and Integration to construction and equipment suppliers for particular work packages.
Ensure all necessary requirements relating to Interfaces and Integration are included in any relevant Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Invitation to tender (ITTs) etc for designated work packages.
Effectively, maintain & communicate the engineering work scope, programme and costs.
Ensure engineering deliverables are produced to quality, time and cost requirements, and that design interface information is identified, communicated and co-ordinated, with technical and design risks identified, reviewed and managed with safety fully integrated at design stage

Qualifications:
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline
Chartered Engineer and member of an appropriate Engineering Institution

Knowledge:
Work effectively within a complex multidiscipline engineering projects within a manufacturing environment
Appreciation of NEC3
Systems Concepts
Validation
Systems Integration and Verification
Principles of Design and design review
Plant and Engineered Systems
Configuration Management and Change Control
Integration of Engineering and Assurance
UK Health and Safety Legislation including Construction Design Management (CDM)

Experience:
Extensive relevant industry related experience in the design and development of mechanical equipment within in a regulated environment.
Extensive relevant industry related experience in mechanical equipment manufacture, assembly and commissioning within a regulated environment.

Skills:
Work harmoniously with team members, developing relationships and an ability to negotiate with and influence others, to build and improve effective internal and external working relationships
Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels within a large organisation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good technical skills including problem solving and decision making
Ability to work to challenging timescales and balance conflicting priorities.
Good familiarity with the MS Office suite of software packages eg Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio

Special Requirements:
