Associate Scientist - Product Development

Seeking an Associate Engineer/Scientist to create new products and tweak existing ones.

JOB SCOPE

- Conduct pilot plant and other methods of product development.
- Conduct experiments: plan, execute, interpret results, report results, and recommend next steps.
- Support processing initiatives.
- Evaluate and utilize technical information from external and internal sources to support productivity initiatives
- Conduct plant trials
- Interface with Business, Operations and Quality partners on initiatives from defining project goals through commercialization.
- Develop and Execute commercialization plans

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- BS in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in the Food Industry.
- Basic understanding of chemistry of food products, analytical testing, formulations, and processing used in food manufacture
- Basic understanding of interrelationship of product, process and package
- Understanding of functionality of basic ingredients, general knowledge of ways to manipulate those ingredients, and the interrelationship of ingredients, process and packaging
- Ability to work with suppliers to deliver technical components
- Understanding of manufacturing plant capabilities during start-up and production
- Ability to work independently under the direction of senior Scientists/Engineers leveraging strong problem solving skills.
