ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WEST GREENWICH, RI

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Experienced in bench-top cell culture setup, operation and experimental design (ie be able to design then carry out cell culture experiments from start to finish)
- Experienced with maintenance and operation of Nova Flex Instrument
- Min one (1) years of experience in cGMP or GLP environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for providing laboratory support and/or contracted manufacturing sites including setting up and running (ie daily sampling, equipment maintenance) small-scale bioreactor experiments.
- Under supervision the candidate will carry out cell culture experiments and assist with pre- and post- experimental tasks including experimental design and data analysis.
- Other tasks may include systems analysis, process optimization, multivariate model building and process troubleshooting using data analytical techniques (including multivariate data analysis, MVDA).
- Under general supervision, will provide support for data gathering, mining, analysis and reporting needs for technology development.
- Support efforts to resolve complex problems while meeting quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum three (3) years of industry/applied research experience in cGMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and/or pilot scale experience in development environment.
- Experience in cell culture operation and experimental design including but not limited to aseptic technique, small scale bioreactor setup and operation, cell culture scale-up and daily sampling handing is a must.
- Relevant advanced studies and research experience in spectroscopy, multivariate statistical process monitoring, process control, and process modelling is also desired.
- Experience with database queries, statistical analysis software (JMP, Simca P+, etc), and process modelling software (Matlab,SuperPro, etc) is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity and experience with production data systems, process analytics and technology is preferred.

- Bachelor's degree required in Biology or, Biochemical, Chemical, Systems Engineering.
