Associate Scientist III Job

ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST III needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Seattle, WA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Senior Scientist, Pharmaceutical Biologics Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing technical documents and support the commercialization of the drug product
- Participate as author for process transfer documentation, technical reports, batch records, GMP documentation and regulatory filing
- Displaying critical thinking, problem solving and independent research skills
- Act as a lead technical support for a pre-commercial drug product program within process development to achieve the resolution of technical issues
- Support technology transfer and site selection, equipment selection, process design, validation strategy, and relevant GMP documentation
- Apply fundamental scientific (biochemistry, biophysics, statistics, etc.) and engineering principles to resolve processing issues and develop a robust commercial product, as well as evaluating changes such as process improvements, equipment, scale, and raw materials

- Travel may be required
- The ideal candidate would possess:
- Team leadership and supervision skills
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage ones project resource requirements (material, manpower, time, etc.), and ability to elevate relevant issues to project lead and line-management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Experience with process development for Phase I - III biologics
- Ability to participate in global cross-functional teams and work effectively in a highly matrixed team environment
- Experience providing floor support in a GMP pilot or manufacturing plant.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Biochemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Sciences with a pharmaceutical, vaccine, or biotechnology background with two to five (2-5) years OR;
- MS with zero to three (0-3) years research or/and process development experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Position is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
