ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST I, VIROLOGY needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HOLLY SPRINGS, NC.

- Mammalian cell culture
- Aseptic operations
- GxP

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide hands-on laboratory support for mammalian cell culture (shake flasks and bioreactors) and virus propagation
- Assist in cell and virus culture sampling, sample processing, testing and analysis
- Laboratory documentation and data entry
- Equipment preparation
- Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS Biological Sciences or Engineering and three (3) or more years of experience.
- Handling and cultivation of mammalian cell culture
- Operation of cell culture laboratory equipment and instruments (bioreactors, bioanalyzers, cell counters, centrifuges, etc.)
- Aseptic operations

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced degree such as MS or training in biotechnology, virology experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a GxP environment
- Experience in process development of vaccines or biopharmaceuticals
- Experience with biosafety level 2 agents preferred
