Associate, Quality Assurance Job

ASSOCIATE, QUALITY ASSURANCE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:

- Perform sampling of chemical containers to obtain samples for laboratory analysis.
- Will work in multiple databases and will require experience with query and documentation
- Perform Appereance and ID testing during sampling process (ie NIR, Raman technology)

What You'll Be Doing:

- Perform sampling and inspection of incoming materials used in the production of pharmaceutical products.
- Assess physical attributes of material such as visual characteristics, dimensions, and label print accuracy to ensure conformance with specifications, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform operations per GMP regulations including following detailed SOPs, maintaining training, maintain accurate inventory management, deviation reporting, and good documentation practices.
- Will work in multiple databases and will require experience with query and documentation using electronic database systems.
- Expected to communicate effectively, work well in teams, demonstrate a science based approach and ability to focus on results.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Need three (3) plus years of experience performing incoming material receipt, sampling and inspection processes in a GMP/GLP function
- Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related science field and two (2) years of experience in GMP operations or similarly regulated industry
- Demonstrated ability to use computer databases for query of data, managing batch status, and input of data and documentation
- Ability to focus on detail and ensure accuracy of execution tasks, documentation per GMP standards
- Must be able to lift and carry containers and boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Three (3) plus years of experience performing incoming material receipt and approval in a GMP/GLP function
- Previous experience in Amgen's quality systems (SAP, LIMS, CCMS, Trackwise, EDMQ)
- Experience in supporting GMP functions such as QC, supplier quality management, material dispensing, manufacturing
- Experience in supporting Analytical Testing such as NIR, FTIR, Ramman ID testing process.
- Strong technical writing skills, demonstrated experience creating procedures, deviation reports, specifications, technical assessments or equivalent
