Associate Manufacturing Technical Specialist

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ASSOCIATE MANUFACTURING TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to join our client in Oceanside, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

In this position, you will need to work effectively as part of a team responsible for ensuring successful and efficient cell culture/fermentation processes for the production of marketed recombinant proteins. This group provides ongoing technical and scientific support and oversight for the unit operations utilized in the manufacture of these marketed products. Additionally, the group conducts laboratory experiments and full-scale studies to continually improve and optimize process performance.

This individual must have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and has the flexibility to support operations in accordance with the manufacturing and MSAT lab schedule.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine lab operations, including 2L bioreactor operations, spinner operations, and routine process monitoring
- Assist in data entry and analysis of cell culture laboratory data. Monitoring and analysis of manufacturing data as necessary
- Data design and execution of experiments aimed at improving process robustness/productivity or meeting the changing needs of the manufacturing environment
- Assist in manufacturing floor technical support
- Developing and implementing technologies that enhance our manufacturing operations.
- As with any position in a manufacturing environment, the job requires an ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and the flexibility to support operations in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.

Job Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in Cell Culture processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques, MS Office (ie Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and basic laboratory skills, including aseptic technique is desirable.
- Candidate should be highly motivated, be able to work independently, as well as in a team, and have good organizational skills.
- Understands basic manufacturing, engineering and/or scientific theories, principles and techniques used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- 20-30 POUNDS LIFTING MAY BE OCCASIONALLY REQUIRED.
