My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, is looking to recruit an Assistant Technical Clerk to join their Research and Development division on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:
This position is for a technical project support role, working on innovative research of new Hybrid/Electrification projects from a major automotive manufacturer. The individual will join a team and work closely with the Build and Project managers for the delivery of research projects, from studies to whole vehicle build.

He/she will be responsible for:
Purchasing, orders and invoice process within Purchase to Pay Experience (SAP).
Supporting all formal gateways with presentation material and written reports, which are also used for archiving the knowledge gained and decisions made over the course of each project.
Support PLs with stakeholder management, data gathering, reporting and dissemination.

Key Skills Required:
Financial control and management of orders:
Purchase to Pay Experience (SAP).
Experience in chasing Quotes/Orders with suppliers and negotiating.
Planning and organisational skills.
Motivated and thorough, with attention to detail.

Project Management and co-ordination skills are essential including:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Excel, Powerpoint word and Project.
High levels of business acumen and good attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent team working skills, adaptability and versatility are essential.

Able to work with minimal supervision:
Time Management Skills Good Organisation Skills

Experience Required:
Experience, ideally in automotive finance, either an OEM or supplier Purchase to Pay Experience (SAP).
A project management qualification and experience in supporting complex projects.
Clean Driving Licence.

Education Preferred:
Ideally educated to degree level in an Engineering or Business Management/Financial or Commercial discipline.
Building and maintaining relationships with external organisations.

Role may require travel between West Midlands sites
