The Wealth arm of a Leading UK Banking Group requires an Assistant Finance Manager within Financial & Statutory business reporting to join on an initial 6 month contract.

The Financial Business Reporting Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in the reporting and communication of all financial information for the Wealth department of the bank, which will included the following:

Reporting
* Completion of the UK Wealth Balance Scorecard and Financial Performance pack
* Production of Tier 1 reporting packs
* Production of core Financial MI
* Processing of all journals postings that hit the general ledger (with the exception of any cost related journals which will be managed by the Cost team)
* Production of all daily, weekly deposit reporting
* Preparation, coordination and delivery of all Divisional returns (including weekly)
* Preparation and submission of weekly KPI report to Division

Control
* Preparation of Statutory accounts
* Contribute as part of the team managing the external audit engagement process
* Balance Sheet reconciliations and attestations
* EUC Monitoring and process control
* Manage the SOX Control file

KEY STAKEHOLDERS

Key
* Work closely with the Product Partners & Cost Team to ensure that we have sufficient level of insight to provide to the Business.
* Provide financial MI and insight to Division and Group Finance

Influencers
* Be the initial point of contact to all key business contacts that have a vested interest in the cost financial performance of UK Wealth, or their respective business units.

KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
* Ability to distil an ever increasing workload and prioritise accordingly.
* Ability to influence and communicate across all levels and areas.
* Able to adapt to changing working environment
* Ability to work across other teams to get the correct information
* Strong analytical skills to distil trends and provide financial insight

The ideal candidate will have a strong, recent financial services background (ideally within Banking) and be a qualified or part qualified accountant with strong financial and statutory reporting knowledge.

This is a replacement hire and, thus, should be considered URGENT.
