Assistant Financial Controller - Banking - ACCA, IFRS

We are seeking an assistant financial controller with 1-3 years PQE to work with one of our banking clients on an initial 12 week contract.

Role Purpose:

- Support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly Group Financial and Management reporting
- Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS
- Maintain and develop the UK Accounting Policy function
- Provision of monthly variance and budget reports
- Assistance with ad hoc projects such as restructuring legal entity set-up
- Preparation of the monthly Group financial and management reporting and the annual statutory accounts
- Reconciliation and explanation, resolution and where necessary escalation of differences

Skills Required:

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA)
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS
- Financial control of a medium/large entity and/or audit experience
- Experience of reporting in a large Group Environment
- Strong MI presentation skills ( mainly PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of a major General ledger system product, Magnitude reporting package (SAP FC) and T24

Any experience with BASEL regulatory reporting would bean advantage.
