Assistant Financial Accountant

Role: Assistant Financial Accountant
Location: Crawley
Duration: 4 months

On behalf of Hyphens Defence, Security and Transportation client I am looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant based in Crawley for an initial period of 4 months.

It will be your responsibility to complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for & assist in the implementation of the reconciliation tool.

To analyse the Bone accounting data with regard to P11d & PSA.

Principal Relationships:
- Financial Controllers
- SAS GL Operations Manager
- SAS GL Team

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

-Production of Month End accruals & prepayments for DTS & Bone.
-Assist in the implementation of the new month end on hold reporting system Readsoft.
-Preparation of Balance Sheet Checklists & reconciliation's.
-Support the analysis & submission of data for VAT Reporting (Input & Output) including EC Sales & Goods & Intrastate.
-Assist with the analysis of P11d & PSA information.
-Client interface - Internal & External contact.
-Ad hoc tasks requested by GL Operations Manager.
-Completion of DTS month end tasks efficiently.
-Production of balance sheet checklists & reconciliations in a timely manner & to the standards set by the SAS GL Manager.
-To assist in the implementation of the Adramatch Balance Sheet Reconciliation Tool.
-To produce the VAT analysis on a monthly basis to the deadlines set & to the standard required.
-Support of the Bone month end tasks & Readsoft implementation.

Skills:
-High excel Skills.
-Good communication skills.
-Ability to work on own initiative.
-Attention to detail.
-SAP & Oracle Accounting Systems Experience
-VAT & EC Goods & Sales HMRC reporting experience.
-Adaptable & Flexible.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Month end Accrual & Prepayments.
-Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
-VAT & EC Goods & Sales HMRC reporting experience.
-Working in a Shared Service Environment.
