ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER - BANKING - YORKSHIRE - £260

We have a requirement for an assistant finance manager to join a leading name in retail banking based in West Yorkshire.

Candidates must have SAP and experience working in a financial reporting team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Owning list of outputs for the Income team, ensuring those outputs are of a high standard, and supported with an appropriate level of analysis to sense check messaging and accuracy
- Work pro-actively with other FRAP teams to co-ordinate and challenge forecasting requirements on the team and ensure that demands are effectively managed and delivered to agreed timescales
- Provide high quality insight to enable understanding of drivers, trends, and importantly answer the "so what" questions
- Actively considering risks/opportunities for Income throughout the forecasting process, supported with robust analysis and commentary
- Understanding the assumptions built into the forecasts, analysing outputs and reviewing and internally challenging submissions form other teams prior to submission for onward consolidation by the P&L team
- Ensure that the reporting and forecasting processes are robust and well governed
- Build strong relationships with key colleagues within the FRAP team, Division and Group to understand timescales and deliverables and potential impacts on BAU deliverables

SKILLS EXPECTED FROM THIS ROLE:

- May be qualified and/or studying for a professional finance qualification, or have equivalent relevant experience
- Develop practical understanding of relevant financial systems and processes
- Awareness of market and industry environment (commercial awareness)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Customer focus in line with SLA
- Ability to implement change
- Planning, organisation and prioritisation
- Presentation skills

RATE: £260 per day

START: ASAP

DURATION: 3 months
