Our client based in the East Midlands is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to assist their finance function through the final accounts process. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working within a Local Government environment with practical accountancy experience in relation to management and financial accounts. Any experience of supporting budget holders through a year end process would be preferable but a strong assistant accountant who is flexible and versatile and able to pick things up quickly would also be considered.

As you will be joining in the middle of the final accounts process applicants will need to be well versed with reconciliations, journals, accruals, and be able to translate financial information accordingly.
