Asset Manager - rail/airports/transport sector

I am putting together a project team to deliver an exciting project to launch of a new business strategy with the transport sector. Candidates will be required to undertake various activities which will include programme management and leadership of change initiatives, the assessment of current resources and competencies, development of new working methodologies, evaluation and development of investment programme and plan, technical advice and support activity relating to property leases etc.

The asset manager is a valuable member of this team & is required from the start in early November for an initial duration of 4 months. This is not an IT asset manager role. This role concentrates on physical asset management in the transport sector - any experience in either the rail sector or airport sector would be preferable.

Experience/Requirements

o Policy development and process/practice engineering

o Writing and creating practice guidance

o Managing property portfolios/assets

o Inspection, examination, assessment and monitoring of assets

o Development of operational KPIs and PIs

o Asset information systems development and use

o Statutory and systems compliance - property (and ideally rail - stock/stations etc)

o Risk management and mitigation planning

o Strong project management methodology
