ASSET MANAGER: DATA CENTRE
KEY SKILLS:
- 5 years experience in Asset Management or similar position
- Understanding 3rd party Data Centre hosting agreements and contractual relationships
- Supplier relationship management
- Experience of managing Vender performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Team player
- Experience in managing Vendors
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The asset manager's core responsibilities will be to
- Maintain the software catalogue based on product type listing all IT assets owned in the organization
- Manage Vendor relationships for the Vendor Supply Chain products
- Create purchase orders for a Vendor and keep track of outstanding POs and completed purchases
- Analyse purchasing trends to improve price negotiations with suppliers
- Monitor and maintain your contracts
- Manage contract performance in line with defined SLA's with external hosting suppliers
- Renew/Re-negotiate contracts before expiry
