Asset Manager
Role Overview:
My client is looking for an Asset Manager to take responsibility for the design and creation of the Software catalogue for technology assets together with the associated software contracts and licenses under the Service Delivery team.
The Asset Manager will also be responsible for the day to day management of new and additional assets, managing existing Supplier contracts and helping to negotiate contract extensions.
Role and Responsibilities:
*Maintain the software catalogue based on product type, listing all IT assets owned in the organization.
*Manage Vendor relationships for the Vendor Supply Chain products.
*Create Purchase orders for a vendor & keep track of outstanding POs and completed purchases.
*Analyse purchasing trends to improve price negotiations with suppliers.
*Monitor and maintain your contracts.
*Manage contract performance in line with defined SLA's with external hosting suppliers.
*Renew/renegotiate contracts before expiry.
Skills and Experience:
*At least 5 years' experience in a similar position.
*Experience in managing Vendors and will be expected to undertake a review of our current contracts and provide recommendations for improvements.
*Work closely with the finance department for the procurement process and annual licensing renewals.
*Manage and report on the MSP's performance against the SLA and be able to reconcile the monthly financial vs performance reporting based upon the hosted IT inventory.
*Understanding 3rd party Data Centre hosting agreements and contractual relationships.
*Supplier Relationship Management.
*Experience of managing Vender performance.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Strong negotiation skills.
*Team player.
