Asset Manager

Manage a team of 6 with your main priority being asset management and logistics services. Set clear goals and objectives and manage your team's performance.

DUTIES

- Coordinate the analysis, recording and reporting of asset transactions for ICT projects and other asset acquisitions, including management of Asset Under Construction (AUC) accounts and undertaking annual stock takes
- Provide timely management reporting and investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements, month end AUC balances, logistics workload, asset life-cycles and stock take outcomes
- Undertake contract administration of the off-site storage facility
- Monitor and oversee the asset disposal process and make timely recommendations regarding disposal methods that achieve value for money outcomes while maintaining compliance with departmental policy.
- Contribute to the development of portfolio based capability and asset management plans
- Maintain and enforce compliance with asset management methods and processes, and develop strategies to combat non-compliance
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, standards, processes, systems and measurements that enable the organization to manage the IT Asset Portfolio with respect to risk, cost, control, IT Governance, compliance and business performance objectives.
- Provide sound ad hoc advice and assistance to the organisation's business areas.

SKILLS

- 3-5 years of strong asset management experience gained within the IT, CONSTRUCTION OR TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY
- Knowledge of ICT standards and procedures, or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge
- Excellent working knowledge of the Federal Government Financial Management Framework and how it relates to Accounting policy
- Highly effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills and SAP experience preferred

Due to the nature of this organisation, you must be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN with a CURRENT NV2 CLEARANCE.

Selection criteria due by 9am, 15 August 2013.

Contract till August 2014 plus 12 month extension option.
