ASIC Verification Engineer Job

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for an ASIC DESIGN VERIFICATION ENGINEER role to join our client in Denver, CO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- ASIC Verification Engineer will define verification architecture, develop test plans, implement verification environment and verify blocks and SoC subsystems using advance verification methodologies and meet established content, performance, quality, cost and schedule goals.
- ASIC Verification Engineer will define overall verification strategies, methodologies, and simulation environment.
- ASIC Verification Engineer will collaborate with RTL designers and system architects to develop verification requirements and test plans based on specifications. Develop, maintain and publish verification specifications.
- ASIC Verification Engineer will run gate level simulation and debug them. Generate code coverage and functional coverage reports.
- Other duties include: analyze equipment and tools and conducting experimental tests and evaluating results.
- Review vendor capability to support product development.
- Participate in the development of department level processes, including the documentation of processes and procedures, and recommendations for improvements to existing processes.
- Create, track, and close Bugs in bug tracking tools like Bugzilla.
- Provide verbal and written status reports to manager and/or other staff members.
- Analyze and debug simulation failures.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master degree in EE or CS is preferred.
- Eight (8+) years of experience in ASIC/SoC verification.
- Knowledge and experience in coverage driven verification methodologies.
- Experience in Verification language such as Specman 'e' or System Verilog and Assertion languages
- Strong background in Object Oriented Programming. Prior experience with UNIX/Linux development environment.
- Experience with simulation environments and debug.
- Scripting languages such as Perl.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience in Hard Disk Controller, or SAS/SATA/PCIe, or CPU based SOC.
- Prior experience in integration/verification of ARM processor based SoC design.
- Prior experience in integration/verification high speed memory interfaces.
- MS degree preferred.
- UVM experience.
