AS400 Developer

My client is currently recruiting for an AS400 Developer to manage, maintain and develop a major application for EMEA and Asia to ensure 24/7/365 uptime.

As the AS400 Developer, his is a multi-platform, complex, geographically dispersed solution, for production and DR. As the AS400 Developer, you will also be involved in many projects and initiatives globally and have a fast paced dynamic environment. As the AS400 developer, you will be expected to give guidance and support within the team, to other segments within BAI, and deal with escalations from any of our internal clients.

As the AS400 Developer, you must plan and perform regular infrastructure maintenances, with strong risk assessment skills being essential. As the AS400 Developer, you will be expected to work on projects while continually working on improving existing solutions as well as the infrastructure as a whole.

As the AS400 Developer you will have the following skills:

-Extensive experience in System i Management under 6.1.1
-Extensive experience in System i Security.
-Extensive experience in SAN, ideally VMAX- from EMC.
-Extensive experience of hardware replication.
-Advanced knowledge of Robot Scheduler
-Advanced knowledge of BRM
-Experience with iSeries
-Experience developing RPG400/RPG4 code
-Advanced knowledge of VIOs on system
-Advanced knowledge of Pentasafe
-Advanced knowledge of iASP
-Advanced knowledge of MQ Series messaging.
-Advanced knowledge of NDM
-Advanced knowledge of SFTP.
-Advanced Knowledge of UNIX.
