VIRTUALIZATION ARCHITECT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wauwatosa, WI.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- VMWare vCloud Automation Center - Version 6 - Primary automation software
- vSphere, vCloud Director, vCenter Orchestrator - Version 5.1 & 5.5 - VMWare Suite software
- Chef - Version 0.10.x - Automation Scripting software

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform builds and upgrades of the full stack of VMWare software including vSphere, vCenter, vSphere Update Manager, vCloud Director, Orchestrator, Operations Manager, and the vCloud Automation Center 6 suite for both qualified and non-qualified environments.
- Assist with Windows and Linux OS support for the virtual machines in our environment
- Maintain the full VMWare stack globally including troubleshooting, migrations, upgrades, deployments, and retirement.
- Work with the ecosystem surrounding Servers including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, AD, Splunk, CyberArk, Security, virtual networks, and backup/restore.
- Upload and deploy vApp templates in VMWare.
- Create, update, and maintain VMWare Orchestrator scripts for automation.
- Create, update, and maintain Chef scripts for automation.
- Create, configure and administer storage devices and storage clusters
- Manage VMware resource allocation
- Monitor VMware vSphere and vCloud Suite performance
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and administer vCloud blocking tasks
- Monitor and administer vCloud Provider VDCs and Organization VDCs
- Monitor and troubleshoot vCloud logs, tasks, and events
- Provide end-user support to vCloud customers
- Provide documentation for end users and vCloud Administrators

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Seven (7) years relative engineering experience

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- VMWare Suite software
- vSphere five to seven (5 - 7) years of experience.
- vCloud Director three to five (3 - 5) years of experience.
- vCenter Orchestrator three to five (3 - 5) years of experience.
- VMWare vCloud Automation Center (exposure to this software or candidate should have experience with the older version by DynamicOps)
- Chef three to five (3 - 5) years of experience or candidate with Ruby or general automation Scripting software experience
