APS6 - EL1 Communications/Policy Officer

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Communications/Policy Officer to join the Overseas Property Office (OPO) within a Federal Government Department with an international profile. 6-12 month non-ongoing position at the APS6-EL1 level.

To be successful in this role, you will have highly developed written communication skills and demonstrated experience in producing ministerial and interdepartmental correspondence to an exceptional standard.

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate and manage interaction with Minister's offices, the Departmental Executive and other departmental areas as required;
- Draft ministerial submissions;
- Produce ministerial correspondence;
- Assist in OPO's contribution to Departmental Annual Reports;
- Respond to FOI and ad hoc requests from media and various areas within the department; and
- There will also be opportunities to participate in OPO's core activities including contract management and business process improvement
