APQP Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the deployment of the design elements of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. The person in this position will be expected to use a specific suite of tools to execute the APQP process. These include Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Boundary Diagrams, Interface Analyses, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs), P-Diagrams, Noise Factor Management, and Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&Rs). The person in this position will help deliver a comprehensive list of recommended design actions, special process controls, and validation activities to mitigate high risk areas.

- Team player and detail oriented.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- BS. Degree in Engineering required for this position. Will consider new college graduates.
- Machining knowledge a plus as well as an engineering background.
