A new exciting opportunity has become available for an APPLICATIONS SUPPORT TEAM LEADER to be responsible for leading the team which delivers technical solutions for production issues affecting applications and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications and to ensure that all such issues are resolved in an appropriate timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undergo resource planning across the team to ensure that issues are resolved in an appropriate timeframe, and that all resolutions meet customer requirements.
- Lead the delivery of daily operational support services to business users by overseeing batch operations management and information request management.
- Lead the continuous improvement within the Applications Operations and support function by conducting analysis of and reviewing the team's procedures and processes, identifying issues and bottlenecks and initiating activities to improve the performance of the function.
- Lead the effort within the team to ensure compliance and quality standards by participating in quality control activities and undertaking impact assessments for proposed production updates.

Skills required:

- Demonstrated extensive experience in managing production support teams on mission critical projects in Corporate or Government organisations.
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
- Experience in the analysis and technical resolution of production issues in one or more of the following technologies: MS SQL, C, Java, Oracle, SAP, Worksite, Objective and .Net.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to research and analyse complex information, identify risks and opportunities.
- Extensive experience in planning and developing strategies and measures which drive performance.
- Demonstrated excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
