Key Responsibilities

This exciting IT consultancy are currently supply to a nationwide financial services client, they are on the hunt for a technical oriented applications engineer in their solution team. They will have a strong infrastructure background and desirably and understanding of the financial industry.

- ICT experience & affinity with ICT-systems, ICT-infrastructure and ICT-applications
- Experience with technical and functional design
- Knowledge about database concepts, database structure
- Knowledge of mainstream scheduling concepts and tools
- Problem analysis skills
- Risk analysis skills (and be able to limit risks when introducing solutions)
- Basic (ICT) analytical skills
- Understand and apply concepts off and interaction between business process flows ICT-application & ICT infrastructure

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- OS-affinity/background
- Unix basics
- Knowledge of mainstream OS programming languages and concepts o Preferably: (more than) basics of Perl o Unix Scripting basics
- SQL - more than basic knowledge
- Connect Direct and UDM affinity and knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Mainframe (PL1, ISPF, Changeman, ) is a plus, not a must
