Applications Consultant

This position will primarily be responsible for supporting our Legacy Customer Information System. The existing Legacy CIS system is a custom built 3-tiered Client Server application running across Sun Solaris Unix, Windows 7 and Windows 2010 operating systems. The custom built architecture code is written with C, C++, Perl, Bourne Shell Scripts and Sybase Open Server. The primary database is Sybase, and a majority of the application batch code is written in Cobol while the online code is written in C. Additionally, this position requires working business experience with SQL and relational databases. Project management experience for small to mid-sized projects is preferred.

Education and Job Requirements

- 4-year college degree (must have!)
- At least 5 Years of experience
- Can present specific examples of being an independent and quick learner
- Has demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with client and come up with design specifications as well as the ability to speak with technical and non-technical clients

Technical Requirements listed in preferred order:
- Cobol
- SQL queries and stored procedures
- Unix Scripting
- Relational databases
- C and C++
- Experience with project management methodologies

Optional Technical Experience
- Java
