Application Systems Analyst

DUTIES:

- Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
- May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
- Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
- May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with relational databases and Client Server concepts. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

FUNCTIONS:

- Production Support during working and non-working hours including weekend (based on the need).
- Respond to support tickets from clients within agreed Service Level Agreement & Resolve issues in a fast and professional manner.
- Analyze the issues on one's own and provide the solution for the issues
- Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, and other related processes as needed.
- Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of IT processes.

SKILLS:

MANDATORY

- Resource MUST have good experience in Oracle Database, SQL, UNIX and good Exposure to Informatica PowerCenter, Mainframe & IIS- key skills.
- Good communication skills
- Systems: UNIX (Solaris), Windows 7/2003/2008/2012 & Mainframe Knowledge
- Languages: SQL, Windows Batch, UNIX Shell Scripting, Java
- Web Servers: Apache Tomcat & Microsoft IIS
- Database: Oracle 11g
- ETL Tool: Informatica PowerCenter 9.X
- Tools: Putty (or related tools) & TOAD

DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (OPTIONAL)

- Any CRM Knowledge, ASP & HTML, SQL Server 2008
- Oracle Performance Bottleneck Identification & Tuning Skills
