Application Support/Maintenance

We are looking for 2 experienced Application Maintenance/Support Engineer's for a customer based in Dublin city centre. Apart from the prime location, the duration of the contracts are 12 months with a possibility of turning into a perm opportunity.

ROLE:

- Working within a critical business unit
- Provide support and deliver both in house and 3rd party business applications
- Provide high level support "end to end" solution support for the integration of IT and
- Telco Infrastructure/Application relating to the production running of server based applications to meet SLA's set out by the business
- Manage 3rd party vendors
- Installation, configuration, upgrade planning and implementation of business critical systems
- Support of functional interfaces into systems
- IT disaster recovery site Switches for business critical applications
- Implement ITIL processes
- Project support to projects with the installation and configuration of 3rd party server based applications (Virtualised Infrastructure)
- Stakeholder Management

REQUIREMENT:

- 5+ years experience within a similar role
- Strong logical structured approach in terms of completing pre reqs for installation, configuration, upgrade planning and implementation of systems.
- Excellent procedure methodology and be process driven
- Experience in the implementation and management of DR applications
- Team Orientated
- Strong customer focus
- Thorough understanding of Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of Middleware Application Server software including WebSphere/
- Webloglic, IIS, .NET etc.
- Software implementation, troubleshooting and management skills
- Ability to problem solve and be proactive when faced with a challenge

It would be an advantage for candidates to have the following;
Experience of Energy Trading Risk Management applications
Understanding of database installations and components including Oracle and SQLServer
