Application Support Engineer (Dublin)

We have an URGENT REQUIREMENT for an experienced Application Support Engineer as part of our service offerings. Our customer is based in the Dublin City Centre area, and this is a 12 month contract with a very high possibility to extend for a further 12 months.

You shall be a part of a team that is critical to our customers business, the applications that you shall be support play a significant role in the trading aspect of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER NOMINATED RESOURCES

Support of core business processes

Skills/Knowledge Transfer

Preventative maintenance tasks to ensure IT systems are operational and secure, and to prevent future incidents

Incident and problem resolution, maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction possible
-

Batch monitoring and recovery of failures with a view to improving the system/batch performance
-

Change request (CR) impact and prioritization through to implementation
-

Delivery of ad hoc unplanned changes
-

Provide and maintain project documentation to allow smooth transition of Projects into Support organization

Customer communications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

-

Relevant degree with 2-3 year's experience
-

Software implementation, troubleshooting and management skills.

Experience in the implementation and management of DR applications.

Excellent process methodology and be process driven
-

Ability to problem solve and be proactive when faced with a challenge

Strong customer orientation
-

Thorough understanding of Windows operating systems.
-

Middleware Application Server software including WebSphere/WebLogic, IIS experience is desirable.

Experience in the OSI Pi, Eclipse, and Maximo applications desirable

Experience in ETRM applications desirable

Understanding of database installations and components including Oracle and SQL Server an advantage
