Application Support Analyst (M19)

We are looking to engage a standout Application Support Analyst to work on one of the largest IT & T projects currently occurring in Australia, providing expertise within a fast moving agile delivery environment across online services and sales portals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
 Implement continuous delivery and continuous integration practices across the Portals  and Online Services group
 Troubleshoot deployment and environmental issues
 Provide Level 2 support for Portals and Online Services environments, Including Major Incident Management.
 Provide operational training and support to other team members
 Contribute to continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices particularly in Agile practices.
 Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
 Conflict and problem resolution
 Escalation to Level 3 (Platform Vendors) for defects and enhancements
 Notification to end users and Service Management team of outage/maintenance
 Fixing defects and communicating fixes or workarounds

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
 Strong Linux/Unix proficiency, including Shell Scripting
 Hyperic or Nagios.
 RHEL 5
 Scripting (Ruby Preferred) if not Ruby then other strong Scripting skills will be considered
 Puppet
 Ruby/Java skills
 Proficiency in General Web Technology (HTML JavaScript etc).
 Agile practices
 Software Development Processes and Practices

Knowledge & Experience Required:
 Min 3 years experience in IT Delivery working with Java and IP based Technology platforms.
 Minimum of 2 years experience in a developer capacity (Java/Ruby).
 Minimum of 2 years experience in an operational capacity (ticketing and issues management)
 Degree qualification in computer science or similar.
 Experience in technical platform analysis
