Application Support Analyst

DESCRIPTION

- Seeking a recognized expert in their Application Support Discipline (SharePoint, PowerShell, Dot net, Web site administration (IIS), A10/F5, Load balancing, VM Ware running custom software).
- This position is the final tier in escalation support prior to seeking involvement from Development.
- An Analyst V would be considered a key member of any group, as they provide architectural and technical leadership to the entire team.
- They are also a lead contributor and participate on both the architectural and development design teams.
- Software/Systems administration Deployment position involving management of multiple programs in a highly dynamic environment.

- Work as part of a team in support of operational and project related activities.
- Provide technical and operational support to other departments and teams as required in support of business objectives.
- Provide troubleshooting for applications and systems mentioned above in addition to custom developed applications as well.
- Provide technical support for Windows/web/SQL related project activities.
- Apply patches and upgrades to operating systems as required.
- Provide LAN support in for users in multi-platform environment, Administration of SharePoint 2007/13.
- Web Site Administration (ASP and Cold Fusion).
- Business Objects Administration.
- Troubleshoot all the hardware, software, user account, access privileges, log-on scripts, profiles, Internet, Intranet, connectivity, email, network/local and performance related issues

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

- Protect and insure the stability of the operational systems as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain
- Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and provide input into their resolution via data extraction and quantification
- Coordinate and prioritize all escalated activities, including testing, project management and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Maintain cross-business responsibilities by providing end-user support to multiple organizations within the company when issues arise
- Frequent interaction with the business to integrate knowledge of the business and functional priorities.
- Assess critical path and assist in implementation of any project required by the business

SKILLS:

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

- PowerShell, .net, IIS, SharePoint, Network and window's administration will be a backbone troubleshooting or working with custom developed applications.
- Working knowledge of Windows SharePoint, Web Site Administration (.NET), IIS and PowerShell.
- 6-8 years' experience required Business systems analytical experience required
- Experience working in the wireless industry (recommended)
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise in one or more core functional Application Support Discipline
- Strong Windows 7 technical knowledge
- Strong knowledge in Scripting (PowerShell)
- 6-8 years experience in a Microsoft Windows server environment.
- Display strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Must be familiar with SQL.
- Competence with most Windows commands/utilities.
- Familiarity with most basic system administration processes.
- Can add and remove user accounts and maintain system files.
- Understanding of system services and domain administration/AD.
- A degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- EXPERT - Windows 7, Server Administration
- Expert Windows Administration/TCP IP
- Expert SharePoint 2007 and administration.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple complex and critical issues.
- Forecasts and plans for supporting both applications functionality and capacity requirements in a rapidly growing, changing and complex environment.
- IIS 8, Server 2012 R2, Scripting, Documenting, project management, SharePoint 2013 experience and all around general knowledge of switching Routers and Firewalls along with server and desktop support
- Also supporting custom applications in .net and HTML5 would be a plus

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Available to provide 24 X7 support as needed.
- System Analysis experience in the support/operation of an enterprise wide carrier class application, prefer a wireless environment (8+ years preferred)
- Experience in testing, quality and change management methodologies
- Previous experience in 24hours/day, 7days/week system support capacity
