Application Support - Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

- Testing Hardware based on defined requirements and knowledge of expected functionality and performance
- Research and document practical end-to-end standards for installations and infrastructure.
- Support of equipment during pilot tests
- Identification of process issues and efficiencies with hardware by reviewing call logs, help desk tickets and vendor information on trending for these devices.
- Development of detailed functional and technical requirements and specifications for hardware
- Development of user manuals and troubleshooting guides that can be understood by non-technical individuals

SKILLS

- Working knowledge of Windows, Server and XP, and Unix operating system (installation, configuration, fault finding)
- Hardware experience (diagnostics, configuration)
- Basic networking skills (Ethernet understanding and associated standards) and associated devices (Routers, hubs, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Basic Scripting language knowledge (JavaScript, VBScript, etc) a plus
- Windows XP Embedded a plus
- Ability to understand and write XML a plus
- Use of certification tools (CAT 5 cable testers)
- MCSE or similar beneficial
- A+ Certification
- BS in Computer Systems or equivalent
