APPLICATION SUPPORT

Our client is an international bank located in Zurich.

We are looking for a contractor/consultant/temporary worker with excellent understanding of applications for investment monitoring.

TASKS

- Write detailed documentation for the operation of the application
- Maintain application system documentation
- Support the solution architect in the definition of application specific architecture and solution, integrate into overall architecture
- Support "Lead Programmer" in the implementation of configuration management guidelines to cope with application specifics
- Support the impact analysis of new requirements on the application
- Define and implement operations tasks for the application
- Support the definition of test cases and test execution regarding the application
- 2nd level support for applications (incident analysis and resolution)
- Support release introductions
- Perform re-occurring maintenance tasks wherever necessary (eg data loads, regular check of IT logfiles, provide statistics related to the application)
- Lifecycle management

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience in a similar role within banking & financial services
- Excellent understanding of MS SQL
- Good knowledge in MS .NET
- Understanding of software development/customization processes
- Experience in application management
- Experience in 2nd/3rd level support
- Capability to analyze complex and poorly defined problems related to the application and to provide solutions with minimal guidance from the superiors

- Fluency in English and German (written & spoken)

The assignment duration is planned for 12 MONTHS with a possible extension.

Start-date is ASAP.
