Projektbeschreibung
An Application Support resource is needed for a potentially long term English-speaking contract role in southern Italy. The successful candidate will join an international IT organisation that will look great on your CV and it will also give you the chance to work in a multi-national environment where you can develop your skills whilst enjoying the benefits of a European location.
The initial contract will be until 31st March 2016, but there could be the opportunity to stay long term on a contract basis.
Your Application Support duties will include:
- Provide day-to-day maintenance and support for the applications;
- Support the configuration and installation of new application releases;
- Help with database structural changes required during system upgrades;
- Assist in responding to application-related queries from end users in remote locations;
- Resolve Tier-2 application issues and escalate Tier-3 issues to Designated focal points;
- Give application training to end users;
- Help with the development and updating of software applications and related documentation.
- Attend operational and other meetings related to the application environment;
- Provide shift work as part of an extended service coverage scheme, if required;
- Provide stand-by services after hours and during weekends and holidays, if required;
- Perform other duties, as required.
The required skills for this app Support role are:
- Two (2) years of experience in administering, managing and support in IT environments;
- Excellent knowledge of at least two of the following: MS SQL, Business Objects, BizTalk, SCOM, IIS, .NET applications, PowerShell, Drupal, MySQL;
- Preferably two years of experience administering Windows server;
- Experience in configuration management for software applications and in utilizing reporting tools;
- ITIL and PRINCE2 familiarity (certification is a bonus);
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision;
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- Microsoft and related certifications are desirable;
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal);
- Any Italian, French or Spanish skills may be helpful.
