Application Security Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work effectively with clients, management, staff members, vendors, and consultant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Performing application security assessments.
- Proficiently utilise application scanning using tools and manual assessment methods.
- Participate in application code analysis, technical reviews and ensuring application security requirements are understood and met in proposed technical solutions, projects and contracts;

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in application security penetration testing roles.
- Good understanding of current and emerging threats
- Proficient in application security assessment tools for web applications, web services and databases and analysing the raw data produced using automated analysis
- Experience in Application Vulnerability Assessments (scanning, validating and researching attack vectors)
- Experience in developing reports as well as reviewing reports, such as code review logs, defect logs, security vulnerability reports, test summary and remediation reports.

CERTIFICATIONS:

- Penetration testing certifications (such as OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, CEH, Crest CRT) are highly regarded.
- Advanced Knowledge Application Security Frameworks and Standards - such as OWASP, .NET Framework security, Microsoft secure coding practices.
