Application Packaging Specialist

The Software Packager will be responsible for packaging applications for Windows XP and Windows 7 environments utilizing tools such as AdminStudio and Microsoft App-V. This also includes development of custom settings at time of installation, user interfaces during installation and other client facing features. Strong knowledge of AdminStudio, InstallShield and App-V are a must. Strong troubleshooting, testing and analytical skills required to resolved complex installation issues. Must be able to meet with and related to custom/customer/team members in order to gain requirements, test and QA applications packages.

QUALIFIED APPLICATIONS FOR THE ROLE OF SOFTWARE PACKAGER WILL NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SKILL:

- Deep experience with application installation and desktop configuration
- Experience navigating the registry, Windows file systems, networks
- Experience with understanding and documenting application requirements and dependencies
- Distributed environment and enterprise-grade applications
- Familiarity with working in virtual environments such as VirtualPC, Hyper-V, VMware, etc.
- Experience with Scripting using a combination of VBScript, WiseScript, InstallAware and/or PowerShell
- Ability to follow a strict workflow process for QA and User Acceptance testing
- Experience with SharePoint and web-based issue tracking tools
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and to take direction
- Experience with virtualizations technologies Microsoft App-V
- Nice to have: Client Management Tools: SCCM

This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
