Application Packager - Banking Environment - App-V, Citrix

An investment bank in London is urgently seeking a number of Application Packager - Banking Environment - App-V, Citrix - on a contractual basis with particular expertise in the App-V and exposure to banking environments.

The Application Packager - Banking Environment - App-V, Citrix will be involved in the following project:

"As an experienced App-V Packager, you will work on a 6 month contract basis onsite with one of our financial services clients. The client is currently undergoing a Win XP to Win 7 upgrade. Within this upgrade there is a large element of VDI deployment. There are various apps which need packaging through various means, including App V"

Responsibilities of the Application Packager - Banking Environment - App-V, Citrix candidate are:

- Assisting with the design for procedure in the packaging process and provide advisory on user readiness based on deployment capability with packaged apps (App-V)
- Coordinating with PM, Desktop Teams and Technical Staff in the Win 7 deployment and advise on schedules where appropriate
- Writing deployment scripts where appropriate

The Application Packager - Banking Environment - App-V, Citrix candidate will possess the following key skills:

- Have extensive knowledge and experience with App-V packaging in challenging financial services environments
- Possess a good level of experience of working within Citrix environments
- Possess the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks
- Possess good analytical skills
- Preferably MCSE certified
- Have an understanding of sequencing applications
- Scripting knowledge
- Extensive banking exposure
- Have UK based work experience and clear English communication skills
