Application Migration Analyst Job

APPLICATION MIGRATION ANALYST needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

- Application Migration planning experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work with Duke internal customers to gather business requirements for data migration needs of approximately 40 applications.
- Work across multiple functional projects to understand application usage and implications for application migration.
- Assist in designing and planning the application migration process for physical and virtual systems.
- Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the application migration requirements.
- Document dependencies between applications, data sources, and systems.
- Document application network communication requirements and associated Firewall rules necessary for successful migration
- Prepare application migration plans including migration risks, milestones, quality and business sign-off details.
- Prepare Class 5 application migration estimate, broken down by sub-project if determined to be necessary.
- Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out application migration activities.
- Detailed analysis of dependencies, requirements, & risks for each application to be migrated.
- List of all migrations that will be handled as separately-budgeted sub-projects.
- Class 5 budget for overall project to include sub-projects.
- Timeline for all migrations including sub-projects.
- Other project documents as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Demonstrated experience with system and application analysis, data models, and budget estimation.
- Experience mapping the dependencies between applications, data sources, systems and networks.
- Two (2) years of experience with project management methodologies.
- Direct experience managing technology projects such as complex application deployment.
- Looking for major systems and applications migration experience. Must have experience doing large infrastructure moves. Excel, Visio and SharePoint*
