Application Fraud Strategy Manager

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Application Fraud Strategy Manager to work for our client and assume responsibility for achieving Application Fraud Loss Targets.

Our client is a leading high street Bank who provides financial services, giving award-winning levels of customer service to millions of retail and business customers across the UK.

THE ROLE

Your key focus will be to optimise Application Fraud systems in order to maximise Fraud Prevention. This will involve leading a team of analysts to develop, implement and maintain strategies and systems for the management of application fraud. You'll also improve how application fraud is identified and mitigated, helping to reduce risk exposure and associated fraud losses.

You will ensure that they have identified, assessed and mitigated against application fraud risks, working with business areas to develop and evolve operational controls to optimise protection from current, emerging and potential threats. In addition, you'll drive continuous improvement by producing compelling business cases which demonstrate ROI in the context of potential application fraud loss, income challenges and customer proposition.

Managing relationships with 3rd party organisations your remit will also extend to developing MI to enable the effective mitigation of application fraud risk and reviewing emerging technologies.

THE CANDIDATE

- Previous and extensive knowledge of fraud risk management;
- A broad understanding of the financial services market and prevailing legislative/regulatory environment;
- Clear understanding of retail, corporate and business banking;
- Experience of project management preferably with a certification in Prince2 or equivalent;
- Previous experience of bringing ideas/learning/concepts and developing them into practical and effective initiatives;
- A strong team leader and motivator;
- Strong stakeholder and 3rd party management skills.
